Install and Configure Guide
In this article, we learn how to install and configure your new Paddle v2 module.
What's in the update
This module consists of an addon and gateway module which will work together to do the following:
- Link WHMCS Products with Paddle Subscriptions plans
- The ability for clients to pay via a subscription method
- Managed subscriptions (Client area)
- Update subscription (Upgrade/downgrade)
How to Install
- Download the module from your account
- Extract the downloaded zip file in the WHMCS Root Directory
How to activate the Addon Module
- Go to System Settings > Addon Modules - Look for Paddle > Activate
- After activation > Click Configure >Enter Your License Key obtained from your iBeeHost Account
- Click Save Changes
How to link WHMCS product with the Paddle subscription plan
- System Settings > Products/Services
- Edit your desired product
- On the edit product page switch to the "Paddle Plan Tab"
- Enter your Paddle Plan ID & click "Link Paddle Plan"
How to activate Paddle Gateway
- Go to "System Settings" then choose 'Payment Gateways'. Afterward, find 'Paddle' and click on it.
- Enter your “Paddle Vendor ID”
- Enter your “Paddle Auth Code/API Key”
- Enter your “Logo URL” if applicable
- Tick “Include in Price”, if applicable (Please ensure it matches with your Paddle Account VAT settings)
- Enter your “Public Key” (It is required to receive Webhooks/callbacks)
- Enter your License Key
- In “Covert to for Processing” Select the currency of your Paddle Account
- Click Save Changes
How to setup webhooks
- Login to your Paddle Account
- Navigate to developer tools > Events
- Add a new endpoint in the “URLs for receiving webhooks” section.
- Tick all the webhooks in the following sections;
- Subscriptions
- One-off purchases
- Click Save Changes
NOTE:
If you are an existing customer using our earlier Paddle Gateway module version, your current version of Paddle Gateway will expire upon the activation of the new Paddle Subscription Gateway.
