The slurp_exim_mainlog Script

Overview

The /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/slurp_exim_mainlog script imports all unarchived Exim exim_mainlog files in the /var/log/ directory into the eximstats database. Imports of the exim_mainlog files can only occur once every seven days. The script only imports files newer than Exims log retention setting. The default for this setting is 90 days.

Note:

This script ignores files without the .gz file extension.

Run the script

To run this script on the command line, use the following format:

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/slurp_exim_mainlog [options]

Options

Use the following options with this script:

Option Description Example
--reimport Import the exim_mainlog files after a seven day waiting period. Use this option when you rebuild the eximstats database. --reimport
--force Run the script regardless of the seven day waiting period. --force
--help Display the scripts help documentation. --help
